JEE Advance

Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced) (formerly the Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE)), is an academic examination held annually in India.

JEE Advanced exam is considered to be one of the toughest exams to crack in the country. Only the top 2,50,000 rank holders of JEE Main qualifiers can appear for the exam. The exam is considered tough because of its testing structure. It tests a candidate's analytical thinking by the way it is prepared.

To put it another way, a high JEE Main score qualifies you for the JEE Advanced exam. A JEE Main score of 250 or higher is regarded as good and a JEE Mains score of 85-95 percentile is ideal for getting into NITs and IITs through the exam.

Candidates must have a rank around or less than 3000 in JEE Main for admission to IIT Bombay. For admission to Computer Science, candidates are required to have a rank less than 100 in JEE Main entrance test.

You can only apear for JEE advance if you clear the JEE mains. If you cross the cutoff in JEE mains than only you are eligible for JEE advance . You cannot directly seat in JEE advance exam . You have to give JEE main which is going to held than you are eligible for JEE Advance.

While NCERT books form the base, they are not sufficient to crack the JEE exam. Students have to access specialized study materials as well. Extramarks offers NCERT solutions, study materials and practice papers that students can use for the preparation.
